Centre for Projection Art

The Project:

The Centre for Projection Art (CPA) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports emerging artists and is a driving force behind the Gertrude Street Projection Festival (GSPF). GSPF is an annual art festival that showcases moving artworks in public spaces along Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. After the 2023 festival, the idea emerged to immortalise some of the works from GSPF and some other CPA artists in the form of a digital zine.

The Outcome:

Confluence is a digital publication collated and edited by the Centre for Projection Art and designed by Tailor as a means to archive and document the curations of the work in 2023.

The Confluence publication offers an opportunity for a meaningful review of ideas and perspectives from industry writers of the years’ visual works. It balances space for still images of the artworks themselves, as well as considered reviews and interpretations by artists and other writers.
